The XML Version of the UPS OnLine Tools Server works on HTTPS technology.  In order to communicate with the server you must perform an HTTP Post with an XML Document as the Post Data.  The XML Request will contain the data elements required for the tool your are implementing as specified in the tools technical documentation.

     Access to Tools is enabled by providing an AccessRequest document as part of the Post data.  The AccessRequest is simply appended to the beginning of the post data as illustrated by this Request document.  The Access Request is composed of the Access License, UserId, and Password.
